Preparation for Measurement

For accurate results, proper preparation is essential.

  1. Avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or bathing for at least 30 minutes before measuring.
  2. Sit quietly in a chair with back support for 5 minutes before measurement.
  3. Place the cuff on your left wrist (unless instructed otherwise by your doctor).
  4. Position the cuff so the display is on the inside of your wrist.
  5. Rest your wrist on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  6. Remain still and do not talk during the measurement.

CAUTION! Incorrect cuff position is the most common cause of inaccurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a standard or MAM measurement.

  1. Press the USER button to select your profile (U1 or U2).
  2. Wrap the cuff snugly around your bare wrist, about 1 cm above the heel of your hand.
  3. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. For a MAM measurement: After the first reading, the device will automatically inflate twice more. The final display will show the average of all three readings.
  5. Remain still until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  6. The systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed along with the WHO indicator.
  7. The reading is automatically stored in memory.

Tip: For the most accurate tracking, take measurements at the same time each day.

An irregular heartbeat symbol ( ) will appear if an irregular pulse is detected. Consult your physician if it appears frequently.

Memory Function

To review stored measurements:

  1. Press the MEMORY button. The last reading for the selected user appears.
  2. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. The display shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, date, and time.
  4. To switch users, press the USER button, then press MEMORY.
  5. To delete all memory for the current user: While in memory mode, press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Battery & Power

Inserting/Replacing Batteries:

  1. Slide open the battery compartment cover on the back.
  2. Insert 2 new AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the cover.

Low Battery Indicator: A battery icon ( ) appears when power is low. Replace batteries soon.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug (remove batteries) before cleaning.

  1. Clean the cuff and unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinners, or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Avoid strong impacts, vibrations, or magnetic fields.
